Drent Goebel Drent Goebel is specialized in the design, manufacturing and installation of offset printing machines. Drent Goebel has started the implementation of ENOVIA SmarTeam in the beginning of 2000, albeit with another supplier than infostrait. After the crash of the implementation, infostrait has been introduced, which resulted in a first improvement in 2002. Drent subsequently has decided to completely switch to infostait, based on extensive references and excellent reputation in the market. Next, the German branch has been connected to the Dutch SmarTeam installation through multisite. An integration with BaaN ERP has been implemented. Luckerath Luckerath, with offices in the Netherlands, Belgium and the Czech Republic, is a specialized developer and manufacturer of high-tech industrial components. One of their specialties is the design and manufacture of high precision “mechanical and electrical carbon / graphite components. Luckerath’s carbon brushes division has been working with the ENOVIA SmarTeam PLM system since 2000. Luckerath improved the Pre Sales and Engineering processes. Using SmarTeam, customers, associated drawings and design parameters are managed. The latest extension covers the management of maintenance processes. Luckerath offers customers a facility to manage all major maintenance parameters in the central SmarTeam PLM database. System access is via the Internet – customers only need an Internet browser to get access. The system supports on-line, real-time analysis tools, through which major maintenance parameters can be managed and interpreted. This information is presented in graphs, as well as in tailor-made reports. The system also provides extensive support for multilingual displays (Multilanguage support). ProRail The Project Center ProRail is the contractor for new construction and renovation projects at the Dutch Rail. Within ProRail, ENOVIA SmarTeam is applied to the integrated management of item information in a practical ‘Systems Engineering’ approach. SmarTeam is used in new construction and renovation projects ranging from station adjustments (eg Rotterdam NSP) to complete new sections (eg Hanzelijn Track Doubling and Amsterdam-Utrecht). Waterschap Groot Salland Waterboard Groot Salland provides water resources in the province of Overijssel. To support design and maintenance all drawings are managed in ENOVIA SmarTeam, related to objects, while a drawing can be related to multiple objects. Besides the original drawings, the printable version is also archived in PDF format. The SmarTeam implementation includes some advanced AutoCAD features. Through an automatic import, large amounts of AutoCAD drawings (dwg, scanned, pdf) can be loaded into the system. Information from the drawing’s titleblock is read in during this process. This information may be manually adjusted / improved during the import. All title blocks with intelligent attributes can be easily linked. AutoCAD files are also interrelatedly managed (“Xrefs”). Xrefs in AutoCAD can easily be updated to the latest version. In addition, a special Xref reporting tool that analyses all drawings to check if Xrefs are present. The information system is enhanced with photo management. (Maintenance) photos can be linked to objects. Users can quickly and easily find desired photos using thumbnails.
