VISI

VISI is an open standard for digital communications and contract management. The VISI standard makes within a contract / project co-operation between all parties explicitly: the structure, roles and the primary process are recorded. In other words, determining when (process), who (role), what (information) to which (role) provide.

VISI defines the external process with the words: role, transaction, messaging and documents. This method explains the duties and responsibilities. A transaction reflects the agreement between two parties. The information exchange takes place by sending messages (including documents).

The VISI Standard has a three layer structure: a systematic, framework and project. This division provides flexibility and allows each project to define the agreements. Based on standard templates (VISI-frameworks) with a Framework Editor can easily a project specific contract be created.

To use the VISI standard in practice u need software like ALFAmail. It is not necessary that all parties working with the same VISI-software supplier, because VISI is a open standard.

The VISI standard is managed by a foundation named CROW. infostrait invested since 2002 in the form of knowledge, development and to the technical management of the VISI-standard. infostrait is an early adopter of VISI, and was the first software company that received a certificate of the CROW in June 2003.
